Bartlett Pears are green when harvested. They become yellower, softer, and sweeter as they ripen. . When ripe, they turn a beautiful yellow color and are sweet, tender fleshed, and very juicy. They are great for eating fresh as a grab and go snack, packing in lunches, or sliced. Bartlett Pears are also the most popular pear for canning and are wonderful to enjoy year round this way.
